"Thankfully, the aircraft landed safely" Well I'm glad. Write anything, just to make the story more than it really is. The passenger wasn't aware of his situation until after the plane had landed, yet somehow, the crew managed to land safely.
The flight attendant reportedly told Mr. Ghansham: "I don’t get paid that kind of money but if you don't like it there is always another flight."
Flight attendants are paid to assist passengers during the boarding process, to expedite things. Both people behaved immaturely but for the flight to turn back because a flight attendant was called 'waiter'?
Actually, the other pilot would have been able to complete the flight by her/him self. The off duty pilot who stepped in assisted and reduced the work load. The way the story is written suggests that without the off duty pilot the flight was doomed.
‘We’re paying twice for the same experience’ You are not paying twice for the same experience. You are paying for a second seat that you require. Absolutely no discrimination. Your argument carries no weight.
I asked her that, as we disembarked in Abbotsford. She said she wouldn't have. Based on her question and then her answer to my question, I know she didn't represent the typical attitude of the average passenger.
